How can you help?
There are several ways you can help us make our mission possible. We are grateful for each donation.

- Make a monetary donation to Crate Escape.
- Donate from our amazon.com wishlist.
- Donate by Walking: Donate to the rescue without paying! Just install the Walk for a Dog app on your phone (it's free).
Although we do not have typical "shelter" volunteer opportunities, here are a few ways you can help us help them!
Become A Foster Family
Our most needed volunteer position is that of a foster family. There is infinite opportunity to apply as we are always looking to grow our network and partner with those families willing to expand the lifesaving work, we do on a daily basis. For more information on our foster program click here.
Short-Term Care Family
Not every family can make a 4+ week commitment to fostering a pup for various reasons, but do not let that deter you from helping when you can. Rather their current foster family is going away, or they just need a place to stay for a few hours, the demand for short-term fosters is a need that arises often. Examples of short-term fostering;
- -Meet and greet a pup off of transport, hold for a few hours until their permanent foster can pick them up.
- -An overnight/ weekend stay while their permeant foster family is away.
- -Vacation relief foster will take over foster responsibilities while their permanent foster is away anywhere from 5-10 days.
Join Our Fundraising Committee
Help us, help them by getting involved in our community events, organizing fundraisers, volunteering and joining our committee to come up with new creative ideas to help raise funds for the pups. Most volunteer work will be done within in virtual meetings and our online forum, however we will have in person events throughout the year for those who like to be hands on. We are looking for outgoing individuals that are not afraid to reach out making connections with businesses and other likeminded people. If you think this role could suit you please email [email protected] today!

Foster families are primarily located throughout Orange, Dutchess, Sullivan and Westchester Counties, our vet is located in Hopewell Junction. Transport needs vary from pick-up, drop-off, round trip transport, appointment visits. Times for pick up and drop off may vary due to the day and/or nature of the vet appointment. Sign up today to become part of our newly assembled transport team!
Puppy Photography
Pictures play a vital role in how we express, teach and further our mission. We meet with a transport anywhere from 2-4 times a month providing a great opportunity to capture our newest additions and welcome them into rescue. In addition to transport many of our adoptable pups benefit from a photo session to freshen up their adoption profiles. If you have an eye for photography and would like to volunteer your time please reach out to see how we can put your skills to use. Pictures will be used for fundraising, promoting adoption, social media posts, and furthering our mission within the community.
